Background

In their current form, testnets are a substantial bottleneck to the development of decentralised ecosystems. This problem is not limited to decentralised networks but exists with dApps as well.

Developers face several limitations when working with testnets:

• Limited faucet supply
• No mainnet data
• Limited and fragmented support for cross-chain, oracles, and other infra
• Congestion and slow networks
• No privacy if needed
